Below you can find a description of the control layout in Ecstatica. Note that the game itself does not provide a way to remap the keyboard layout but for example DOSBox' Mapper program can be used to easily customize the controls. For the control layout in Ecstatica II view Ecstatica II Controls.
Keyboard Layout Edit
The table shown below lists all keyboard commands in Ecstatica accompanied by the default assignment and a short description. Note that unlike most games Ecstatica uses the numeric keypad (usually called "numpad") for all basic actions. So "NUM" followed by a number refers to keys on the numeric keybad. Also note that those are usually absent from laptops and you may have to use an external tool to rebind the commands in order to play Ecstatica sensibly on a laptop.
